Secondary University/College and Career Counsellor

Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School, situated in the North part of the island of Mauritius, is looking to employ a committed and caring full-time University/College and Career Counsellor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group guidance to secondary students on subject selection, university applications, and career pathways.
• Support students in developing self-awareness, goal-setting, and informed decision-making skills.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international tertiary institutions.
• Keep students informed about local and international higher education and career opportunities.
• Organise a career expo and other college and career-related events.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in school counselling, education, or a related field.
• Experience working with adolescents in a school setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for guiding and mentoring young people as they plan for their future.
