Primary School Counsellor (Part-Time)

Lighthouse is seeking a Part-Time Primary School Counsellor to support student wellbeing and deliver a strong, preventative pastoral care and counselling programme within our Christian School.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Individual student counselling (stress, conflict, wellbeing, academic pressure)
• Design and deliver whole-school programmes (Life Skills, Health, Mental Health Awareness, exam support)
• Small groups & presentations (bullying, grief, self-worth, social skills, resilience)
• Partner with families and support student goal-setting and future planning
• Collaborate with staff and leadership in critical incidents and student care planning
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain confidential counselling records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in school counselling, education, or a related field.
• Student-centered, compassionate, and professional
• Skilled in adolescent counselling and preventative education
• A strong collaborator with staff and families
• Committed to child safeguarding and confidentiality
• Able to serve within a Christian school environment
