Elementary Teacher

Antigua Christian Academy is seeking passionate, faith-filled educators to join our team. At ACA you’ll do more than just teach; you’ll mentor hearts and shape minds through a Biblical worldview.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for elementary students in small, multi-grade classrooms of 8-10 students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and styles of  students.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Provide lesson plans for substitute teachers.
• Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and spiritual growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and school events.
• Serve as a mentor and role model, supporting students’ academic, emotional, and spiritual development.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment committed to excellence and Christian discipleship.

Qualifications

• Faith: Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal testimony and alignment with ACA’s biblical mission and values.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education is preferred; other degree fields will be considered.
• Certification: Teaching certification or credential in relevant subject areas is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience not required, but is always welcome. Experience in international, Christian, or multicultural settings is a plus.
• Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in English (primary language of instruction); Spanish proficiency is highly desirable, but not required.
• Character: Demonstrated passion for teaching, flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and a servant-hearted attitude.
