College Preparatory (CP) English Language & Composition Teacher

Brief Description

HAB is seeking a CP English Language & Composition Teacher to join our secondary team for the 2026–2027 academic year; to deliver engaging, college-preparatory instruction focused on writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and analytical thinking. The teacher will implement the existing American curriculum while fostering strong academic writing and communication skills.

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the CP English Language & Composition Teacher position is to provide high-quality, college-preparatory instruction that develops students’ writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and analytical thinking skills in alignment with HAB’s American curriculum. The teacher will equip students with the foundational academic literacy and communication skills necessary for success in upper-level coursework, including Advanced Placement studies, and post-secondary education.

This role supports HAB’s commitment to academic excellence by creating a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that addresses the needs of diverse learners within a multicultural international school setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience
• Strong instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate within a supportive international faculty
