Catch up on Season 6 of the Transformed and Transformational Podcast

TeachBeyond has wrapped another powerful season of the Transformed and Transformational podcast. Season 6 featured dozens of inspiring conversations, each pointing to the transformational work of education as missions. 

This season, the podcast surpassed the milestone of 200 episodes. Throughout 32 episodes, hosts Heather Brown and Keane Fine held conversations with more than 30 guests from at least 15 different countries. 

Season 6 ran four recurring series: Zoom In, Calling Story, Teacher’s Desk and Spiritual Formation.  

Zoom In 

The Zoom In series introduced listeners to people doing significant Kingdom work. This includes people involved in ministry outside of TeachBeyond. Each focus on a topic in which they have developed an expertise.  

    • Mark Matlock, Executive Director of the Urbana Missions Conference  

    • Katie Davis Majors, best-selling author and founder of Amazima Ministries in Uganda 

    • Kevin King, President and co-founder of International Project 

    • Nathan Sloan, Executive Director of Sending at The Upstream Collective 

    • Dr. Gina Zurlo, editor with the World Christian Database 

    • David Durance, President of TeachBeyond 

    • Dr. Marvin Newell, missiologist, author and long-time leader in global missions 

Calling Stories 

Nine episodes of Transformed and Transformational featured the individual stories of those who were called to the mission field of education.  

  • Rio Handley, Associate Regional Director of East Asia and Oceania 

  • Noah Rendall, Resident Assistant at Black Forest Academy, Germany 

Transformed and Transformational also featured a conversation about the historic ministry of Lottie Moon, a Southern Baptist missionary to China. 

Teacher’s Desk 

Teacher’s Desk explored topics related to teaching itself, providing practical tools and advice for Christian teachers to implement in their classrooms.  

Spiritual Formation: The Myth Series 

The Spiritual Formation series featuring Brian Delamont, Executive Vice President of TeachBeyond, focused on myths. The Myth Series ran from October through April, challenging assumptions about faith and calling.   

Listen, Learn and Continue the Conversation 

Season 6 of Transformed and Transformational demonstrates the many ways God is using missionary teachers and Christian education to reach the nations. If you’re looking to be inspired, learn something new, or revisit a conversation you have already listened to, now is the perfect time to catch up on the season. Season 7 will kick off in the fall with a whole new collection of episodes celebrating God’s ongoing work of transforming lives.
